So today I am bringing you some non traditional Christmas cards
Starting with this one.........
The second card I made
Also used the feels like frost DSP as the back ground image along with the scallop edged ribbon in seaside spray . I then stamped the tree image from the perfectly plaid stamp set in seaside spray, mint macaron ,purple posy and rococo rose before punching them out with the co-ordinating punch.
My final card was made using the black ice technique .
I really enjoyed making this card as the technique give such a unique finish.
For this card I stamped the holy image onto gold foiled card using stazon ink which I allowed to dry before dragging the edge of my stazon ink pad across the whole piece of card lightly. I allowed this to dry before repeating the dragging with my versamark embossing pad after which I covered the whole card front with clear embossing powder and heat set it. I layered the card up on another piece of gold foiled card and wrapped a piece of shaded spruce and gold ribbon around the card and finished with a bow. To finish the card I stamped the holly image in memento ink onto whisper white card and coloured it in with my blends pens before fussy cutting the image out and mounting it onto my card using stampin’ dimensionals.
I hope you like this selection of non traditional Christmas cards and have inspired you to make some of your own.
Love Kayla
xXx
