Origami note card holder and 4 note cards

So I went on a craft retreat run by the very talented Sam Hammond Donald (Pootles) during the weekend we had a make and take designed by Karen Varley of Donemark papercrafts.
And here is my creation

Which when open looks like this

So to recreate this you will need a piece of DSP that measures 12” x 12”
Scoring the 1st side at 1 7/8” ,5 3/4” , 6 1/4” , 10 1/8”
Turn and score at  2 1/2”,  8 1/4”

Fold each corner back to the 1 7/8” ( 10 1/8”) score line
So each corner  is turned in like so
Fold and burnish all the score lines and fold sides in like so

Then turn over folding edges back and tucking them in like so

To decorate the front I used my stitched nested dies ,
A sentiment from thhe free as a bird stamp set.
A length of organdy striped ribbon
And a trinket from the bird Ballard trinkets

I then made 4 cards using the notecards and envelopes from the catalogue
And proceeded to make the following cards

I used momento black ink to print my images and sentiments before colouring them in with watercolour pencils and blender pens.
To finish the cards I used crumb cake card stock, linen thread and more bird Ballard trinkets.
I hope you have enjoyed my blog today and have been inspired to try it yourself at home

Much love Kayla xxx
