Shabby Chic tag booklet tutorial

Hi and welcome back to my blog I am back with a video for the construction of a tag booklet I have made this in a shabby chic theme but you can make it in any style you wish I made this using some scraps I had left over from another project, so ideal for using up all those bits of decorative paper we have hanging around. I added a little twist and included a magnetic closure  For the base you will need a piece of card  measuring 5 x 7 inches you need to score the long side at 1/2, 3/4, 3 3/4,& 4 inches  and the short side on the edge with the 2 score lines at 2 1/2 inches to the 2nd line then draw a line from the end of the little scoreline to the top of the next scoreline then trim along the little score line and the drawn line as shown below  fold and burnish all score lines  I then added some strong craft magnets to the small flap using glue dots and covered with a strip of decorative paper cut to 1/2 by 2 3/4 inches which I trimmed down to size...

Vintage Tag Tutorial

So to start us off I have created this beautiful vintage tag   and I wanted to share with you my process. so I began with a piece of Kraft card cut to 5 x3 inches and I cut the corners off of one end like below I then punched a hole in the top before applying a thin coat of Multi Medium in matte with a brush to seal the paper before the next step  I waited for the gel to dry then covered the surface with distress oxide in Gathered Twig using a blending tool I then spritzed the surface with water to create the following effect I then got out my distress ink in Vintage Photo and a blending tool and blended the in around the edges only I then stamped the tag with a postage stamp image and the distress ink followed by a ledger stamp in black memento ink over the entire surface, its that layering of these stamped images that gives the tag surface depth and interesting  I then decided to add another layer of texture by adding some structure paste through a stencil on...

Well  I did it I cut it and the red velvet paper which i must admit i had to stroke a few time before i finally cut it ready for this project  What do you think ? Christmas gleaming box

Hello and welcome back to my blog today I thought I would share a Christmas box ideal for gifting chocolates in fact this one has been designed to go around a 4 pack of dairy milk. The box measures 5 1/4” x 3 1/4” by 1” high  I decided that rather than use DSP on this box I would do a bit of stamping and water colouring using my wink of Stella pen and am really happy with the gorgeous shimmer over the stamped images, making the box even more festive !  Isn’t it gorgeous I just love the read red ribbon and colour on all the ornaments  I even made the base of the box in real red !  So how to make this box I  started with  a piece of card measuring 7 1/4” x 5 1/4”  and scored at 1” all around  I then got another piece of card that measures 6 3/4” x 4 3/4” scored at 3/4” all round  I frost constructed the larger piece into a box base then using that base I created the lid by wrapping the lid around it so that it fit snugly  I then took...
